Scholarship Program Overview
The IT Next Generation Foundation scholarship program is designed to provide scholarships to underpriviledged high school graduates or GED recipients that are accepted into a four year acredited college or university with a concentration in a technology discipline. An undisclosed number of scholarships will be awarded each calendar year to eligible students. Students awarded a scholarship within the program will receive at the beginning of each academic year, $1000 not to exceed $4000 for the entire 4 year academic program. Scholarship recipients must maintain a specific GPA in order to receive their annually scholarship award of $1000. Scholarship Program Submission Requirements
This section defines the documentation that must be submitted by parents/guardians and students in order for students to be considered for the IT Next Generation Foundation scholarship program. If all required documentation is not submitted properly and within the appropriate timeframe, those students application will not be given consideration. All scholarship program documentation must be received by September 1st of each year for initial program applicants and renewal applicants. Residency Verification
Each parent/guardian of a scholarship program applicant must submit documentation that will verify their one year residency requirement for the State of Tennessee. Income Verification Each parent/guardian of a scholarship applicant must submit their prior year income tax return or an employer issued W2 form for income verification. Admission Acceptance Letter A student must provide an official letter of acceptance from a four year accredited college or university with a concentration in technology. Test Scores A student must provide a copy of their most recent SAT/ACT test scores to verify that he/she has met the minimum test score requirements for the scholarship program. Scholarship Applicant The scholarship program application must be completed in its entirety by the scholarship applicant to be considered for the program. The application process will begin starting June 2014. Applications will be made available at that time. |
